Why I Love Supernatural

When people catch onto my addiction to Supernatural, A.K.A. when I gush about how much I love Supernatural, I'm often questioned why I like the show so much. I can give you three basic reasons...
1. Jared Padalecki

2. Jensen Ackles

3. Misha Collins

I have an affinity for these men. Too bad they're all older than me by a significant amount, married, and so famous that the chances of me meeting them are slim to none.

However, I could come up with several more reasons to why I like the show.

4. They dance

5. They make the best faces

6. They treat each other like my friends and I teach each other

7. Jensen sings

8. Well...

Yeah.. That's not even all, the show is basically just amazing. I just realized this list came full circle. But I mean I can tell you all about Supernatural.
While watching the gag reel, I realized how much time actually elapsed between seasons, I watched all 8 in such a short time that I forgot it started in 2005. Jared started off looking like a baby... Dean even looked so young and then you see them with beards...

Then it's just like "OMG they're actually grown men"

Well I guess that's really it for now...

Dress Examples For The Closet Basics

As a reminder here is the Closet Basics list for dresses:
Maxi Dress
Little Black Dress
Sundress
Classy Day Dress
And I'll add one more! Colorful special occasion dresses!

Maxi dresses are probably the easiest of all the dresses! They, thankfully, don't require leg shaving!! Which is a godsend. They are also really easy to pair and put on. They are also ideal for that easy summer feel without really needing much to go with them.

When I see maxi dresses, I initially think of Khaleesi from Game of Thrones. And it's not a bad thing, just look at her.. I want that dress to be honest

Unfortunately, they aren't sold anywhere I can find, so here's what I can give you..

This cute dress is $41.50 from The Dandy Lion Boutique. My favorite part about this dress is the skirt part, I love the colorful chevron print! It is perfect for summer outings, dates, you name it! To get this dress click the link! http://shopdandylionboutique.com/products/confetti-chevron-maxi-dress

This is probably my favorite dress! It's $128 from Luxe 7. The lace details add that perfect hint of romance! Here's your link to get it! http://www.shopluxe7.com/Judith-March-Chevron-Lace-Maxi-Dress-p/748.htm

This Love Culture dress is so pretty! And it's actually pretty simple for being so detailed. The embroidery adds something to this dress that is just perfect! And the pink bow is so girly! Get yours for $42.95 http://www.loveculture.com/1000013723.html?dwvar_1000013723_color_code=111

I love that maxi dresses can be worn at night as well as day. This maxi is my favorite for a nice dinner, its fancy enough to be worn for nice occasions, yet still simple enough to wear just on date night. This dress is $231 from Bonadrag. http://www.bonadrag.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=2070

Now that we have maxis down, it's time for the LBDs.

My favorite LBDs always come from Megan Fox, mainly because she can rock anything!

The thing about LBDs is that there are so many styles! Finding the right one can be difficult, but as long as you find one that fits multiple occasions then you only need that one! The question you must ask yourself is what you are looking for. Do you want to be classically sexy? Vintage inspired? Daring? Luckily you can easily find all different kinds by browsing pinterest or even just googling it.

I am basically in love with this dress! The crochet detailed top is so perfect!! Dolce Vita did an amazing job, you can get it at Nordstrom for $275.. http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/dolce-vita-lace-fit-flare-dress/3544743?origin=category&BaseUrl=Little+Black+Dress

Betsey Johnson is an amazing designer! The reason I chose this leather dress over some of the others is that it has the eyelet cutouts that give it a more girly feel while still being undeniably daring. I also like the fact that it is a fit and flare over the usual sheath that leather dresses come in. This one is $129 on Nordstrom's website... http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/betsey-johnson-laser-cut-faux-leather-fit-flare-dress-online-only/3499574?origin=category

This LBD is more casual, but it's still just as classy as it needs to be! Leave it to Unique Vintage to be where I found the rest of my LBDs.. This one is on sale currently for $88!! http://www.unique-vintage.com/sale-black-lattice-nina-dress-p-26609.html

This LBD reminds me of the various dresses I tried on for homecoming, it's not classy per se, but it is really pretty! It would make a really good LBD for those who go out to parties. It's also only $78! http://www.unique-vintage.com/2013-prom-dresses-black-spaghetti-strap-short-prom-dress-p-25495.html

MacDuggal makes some of the prettiest dresses! This one is actually from the 2012 homecoming collection, but that means it's on sale now! The sleeves add the hint of sparkle that dress this up even more, and make it easy to accessorize! This dress is $224 from Unique Vintage http://www.unique-vintage.com/black-satin-scoop-neck-rhinestone-sleeve-short-homecoming-dress-p-20892.html

I have an addiction to those dresses that have a 1940's feel to them, this dress is just that! The neckline is that vintage touch but the details on the dress are fairly modern. The fact that it's a fitted dress gives you that classically sexy feel. The dress costs $130. http://www.unique-vintage.com/black-bandage-dress-p-22329.html

Sundresses are the best, my favorites by far! People have many ideas about what sundresses are, I will use the broadest definition just to fit all my favorite casual dresses, so for the sake of this example, I will just say that sundresses are those short, cute, casual dresses that are perfect for summer days!

Here's the amazing Taylor Swift, the queen of the vintage sundresses! Like I said, I'll use a broad definition of sundresses, seeing as her's has long sleeves.

This is kind of like the Betsey Johnson Leather dress from the LBD section, where it would be a really plain dress without the cutouts. The teal color is very summery! It's not a super short dress like you find most places nowadays, which is coming from someone who is only 5'3"!! But Altar'd State knows what's up and makes their dresses a perfect length, actually they make everything perfect in general! This beaut is $54.50

This is a very typical sundress, typical tank top style, flowing bottom. Though the actual design is typical, it has one of my favorite patterns! I am a big fun of this whole kind of abstract, tribally kind of pattern that's everywhere, I even want a tribal phone case!! This one is $49.50, again from Altar'd State

I am really not a huge fan of orange, rival colors you know!! However, I really love this dress, I think it's the bow and the modest neckline. I have searched high and low for a good lace dress, when I do find them, it's always this store. When they first put Altar'd State in my mall, I basically spent two paychecks on new clothes! You'll see a lot of my stuff is from them, and it all actually lasts!! Sorry, I'm fangirling over them! My bad! Anyway! This dress is $54.99  http://www.altardstate.com/shop/apparel/dresses/sundresses/altar-d-state-cutout-cutie-dress.html

So this last one, also from Altar'd State, comes in this pink color as well as white. Personally, I stay away from white because I am super klutzy, but I love white dresses! They are so crisp and fresh! Pair them with cowboy boots and you have the cutest outfit! This one is $59.50 and available through this link http://www.altardstate.com/shop/apparel/dresses/sundresses/altar-d-state-step-aside-dress.html

Next we have classy day dresses, these are those dresses that are safe for work but also for other occasions, think tea with your friends, coffee with your coworkers, dinner with your soul-mate! The reason I love the classy day dresses is that they can be used so many ways, it really helps you cut back in what you actually need in your wardrobe. I love the way Sara Rue was dressed all throughout My Future Boyfriend, which was a surprisingly cute movie and made me want to time travel!

It's a typical black sheath dress, but look at that blazer, it's adorable. And I hadn't seen Barry Watson since 7th Heaven, even though he has been in other things! Anyway! The dresses..

First of all, Tory Burch. This navy dress is lace, but it's not like bedroom lace, you know? I don't know what else to say about it, I love it and that's good enough for me. Although it is $225! But I mean it's cheap for a Burch dress, it's half off right now!! http://www.toryburch.com/GINEVRA-DRESS/52121447,default,pd.html

I'm on the fence about this one being in this category. I prefaced this category with it being good for work. This COULD work at work, depending on where you work. For example, it's a good teacher dress, but not very good for a CEO. So I'll keep it, because I really like this dress. Chevrons are big aren't they?? All the girls love the chevrons, especially the sorority girls! This dress is $46 from Scissortail, who has really cute clothing and accessories, I love them! http://www.scissortailclothing.com/products/chevron-print-wrap-dress

I was on the fence with this one too! Because I really love this dress, shirt dresses are so comfortable! This one could be made more office acceptable than the last, but it's still not quite there. It is Banana Republic though, so I have more faith in it being work acceptable. This fine dress is $110. http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=42231&vid=1&pid=560855002

Alright! Last category of the dresses! Colorful special occasion dresses!
My main inspiration for this dress was Emilia Clarke, I love her so much, she does play the Khaleesi!! Her dress at Comic-Con was so spot on, and it had those peek-a-boo cutouts!

When you go out, you don't always want an LBD, although the LBDs are very classic, they aren't always desirable. It's good to have those go-to fun dresses.
I couldn't decide how to do this, so I'll just choose a few colors and dresses I really like!

This tank dress is sparkling from all angles! It's $238 from Nordstrom http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/adrianna-papell-embellished-mesh-tank-dress/3544841?origin=category

I really love shift dresses, mainly because they have a very simple design, which is very me. But you can also belt them and its just easy! This one is $348 at Nordstrom http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/js-collections-beaded-chiffon-shift-dress/3501173?origin=category&BaseUrl=Cocktail

This one is $190

This one is $268

I usually am not a fan of anything yellow, limey, or neon by any means, but I really like this dress! It would be $448! Its BCBG though! http://www.bcbg.com/Julissa-Beaded-Silk-Cocktail-Dress/IML6U177-717,default,pd.html?dwvar_IML6U177-717_color=717&cgid=dresses-by-category-cocktail

\\

It's just about the only decent red dress I could find that wasn't matronly. Unfortunately, it's not my favorite. If only it was just a little bit longer!! It's only $19.80 though! Thank heaven for Forever 21! http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=f21&Category=dress_club-dresses&ProductID=2057711113&VariantID=

Last one!

The description says blue, my eyes are telling me purple though! This dress is just fun though! It's $92 from Nordstrom http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/topshop-ruched-wrap-bodice-skater-dress/3555334?origin=category&BaseUrl=Cocktail

So hopefully those examples helped! It really helped me find out what all I need to get before I leave for college, only it will probably only really be maxi dresses and sundresses!
